ShipFast is a Next.js boilerplate that gives you everything you need to launch your SaaS, AI tool, or any web app quickly, and possibly start making money.

I haven't tried it myself, so I can't speak to how clean the code is. However, it's been purchased by thousands of people, so there's a lot of social proof behind it.

ShipFast is very popular in the indie hacker space, likely because of its creator, Marc Lou. He's great at marketing, and his journey mirrors what many indie hackers go through. He was awarded Maker of the Year 2023 by Product Hunt, and since then, he's gained a lot of popularity.

His philosophy is to keep shipping as fast as possible, and he's really good at it. He always uses the same stack. So, instead of reinventing the wheel each time, he built this Next.js boilerplate, which he uses across his projects. That's proof the codebase works and is ready to help you build a profitable product.

Stack:

  • Next.js as the framework (so you'll need to know JavaScript and React)
  • Authentication (NextAuth, Google, Magic Link)
  • Database (MongoDB and Supabase)
  • Payments (Stripe, Lemon Squeezy)
  • Email (Resend setup included)
  • SEO, blog, landing page, animations
  • Protected API routes, dashboards
  • Community support + tutorials

Basically, this is a private GitHub repository. You just clone it and start working on it from your IDE. It comes with all the boilerplate code you need to run a SaaS or sell digital products online: payment system, database, login, blog, UI components, and much more.

Like other boilerplates, it helps you save hours of development by avoiding repetitive work — so you can focus on the core of your business or idea, without overthinking.

There are different pricing plans with various features, but if you don't need access to the community, the Starter plan should be enough.

Build your MVP 10x faster with this stack: Next.js + MongoDB/Supabase + Tailwind CSS + Stripe + NextAuth.
